Merger Milestones The merger teams from Brighton McClure and Northminster have been meeting since the end of August and have made several recommendations in the merger process. Upcoming dates are as follows: October 3rd - Brighton McClure will be hosting a joint service with Northminster as this is World Communion Sunday. We will be providing tours of the Brighton McClure facility after service and refreshments will be provided for a fellowship time with our friends from Northminster. October 24th - Celebration Sunday with Brighton McClure and Northminster. We will be celebrating the history of Brighton McClure and Northminster as we work on the pending merger. Sunday Service and Dinner will be at Brighton McClure, as this will be the final Service at Brighton McClure. You should have received an invite to the Celebration Dinner which will follow Sunday Service. The charge for the dinner is 7.00 per adult and 3.50 per child. October 31st - Brighton McClure members will begin attending Sunday Service at Northminster. At the congregational meeting on Sept 26th, the vote was unanimous to attend Sunday Service at Northminster beginning Oct 31st. Your offering envelopes from Brighton McClure should be used at Northminster, any checks should be made out to Brighton McClure. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. with Service starting at 11:00 a.m. The merger team is working with the Presbyterian Merger Commission for January 1, 2011 to be the final merger date. |
